Hi. I'm a third-year software engineering student from Australia.
I'm currently learning C++ and getting some Java practice by contributing to open-source projects (just fixing some JabRef bugs so far).
I learned about this place from SlateStarCodex (if I remember correctly), and the idea of solving outrage-culture-for-corporate-profit this way seemed brilliant to me.

Why not go for a cheap chrome book or something? Separation is there then. Just some food for thought. 👍

@tootdon any idea why notifications aren’t working on my phone? I have then turned on, but I get zero notifications, not even the red bubble on the app icon.

@hirnbrot @kungtotte I have to agree with Fabian on this one. Had we been talking about something that grown exponentially then yeah, I’d agree. But your OS/applications are only ever going to grow a negligible amount once installed.
Each to their own of course, I just don’t it. However, that’s no secret as @codesections pointed out. 😂😂

@kungtotte how big is the drive you’re installing it on? Storage is so cheap nowadays, so I didn’t think the install size would have been an issue.
