So the whole #VoidLinux debacle concerns me (link below if you don't know what the dealio is). I started Fosstodon and the buck stops with me. I don't want the same thing to happen here (not that in planning on leaving!!) so I've been speaking to @mike and we're gonna do everything 50/50.

The only exception being the payments for thing, for obvious reasons. However, he will have access to all accounts to change payment details if needed.

@joseph you'll need to setup the cron for it. Personally I have it run at like 0200 every morning, when there is no load on the server (right before the backups kick in).

I'm pretty new to the whole #Snaps thing. I've installed a couple, but none of them have the system theme applied, making them look like Windows 95. No problem for some apps, but for others, it's a real issue.

Any idea what going on here folks?

@ragazzonoioso @joseph I wouldn't bother. I'd just put them in a folder called "From Google" or similar, and start fresh with new photos from now.

@mike and I have setup an official Fosstodon account for the instance. This will contains all announcements etc. going forward. Please give @fosstodon a follow, as it will contain some useful info.

@fatboy the body font is called Baskerville. I think I got it from Google Fonts is memory serves.

Finally the #Mastodon logo is in #FontAwesome. I have, of course, now updated my personal site with it.

I'm seeing lots of posts about #RMS. Did something happen that I missed?

@deadsuperhero I personally use Tootdon on my iPad. It's about the best iOS app I've found, but it isn't a patch on Tusky IMO.

@ayo no. This doesn't extend to other instances, unless someone is claiming to be affiliated with Fosstodon.

People are here to talk about a common interest in technology, NSK shouldn't come in to that. If someone wants to consume NSK (which is fine if that's what someone wants) then this probably isn't the instance for them.
