hosh@Herbert Thielen For (a probably uncommon) use case, I use Cards (which are very similar to Articles) as a kind of links blog, which helps me to keep links that I might like to refer to later together in one place. Sometimes I share them later as regular posts, sometimes not - it's basically an extra click to share them to the stream. If I would be using Hubzilla also for my blog, I would want to do that with Articles, in order to keep more serious posts a bit separate from all the regular clutter. As it is, I use Wordpress for that purpose and integrate the blog as closely as possible by using a common side menu, both in Hubzilla and Wordpress. But that's just me, and just now - I'm just as likely to change it on a whim at some point.

hoshYou just have to find the file and folder then go in and change the setting for datetimepicker. It's at /home/public/view/tpl/jot.tpl You could also place the diary posts in the articles or cards module (under the historical date) and share them afterwards as regular posts under the present date. The articles module needs a bit more development in my opinion. I eventually decided to go on using Wordpress and try to integrate it closely with hubzilla, though this was also because there was no easy way for me, as a non-programmer, to import years of blog posts quickly into hubzilla. There wasn't sufficient justification for that. Good luck with your project.

hoshTrue, but it's also as if only the rich white guy has the luxury of being able to feel anything - even if its just sad, guilty or bored. All the others are dumb, submissive, backward or primitive, in accordance with the way the artist thinks that the viewer will see them. For something to change, some of the premises underlying this illustration also need to change.

hoshI don't have a personal facebook account, but it seems to me that we may need to begin to relate to mainstream social media in a similar way that we relate to the mainstream news media: an OK place to obtain part of the picture, but certainly not the only place that we should seek news. We need the support of our alternative networks to complete the picture - just as I'm grateful for your occasional links to WSWS.

hoshthanks for these calculations (which I'm not sure I'll remember). I think if we would begin to use thermal underwear we would end up using the washing machine a lot more so that might have to be factored in too. Here at least, we don't need a dryer.
