@ignitionigel My wife and I honeymooned in Maui, and snorkeling at Molokini was amazing if you have the chance. There's several boat tours that will take you there. We missed the chance up snooba, but give it a chance if you can.

@gwmngilfen Yea, I can see scenarios where I wouldn't necessarily care, but I still feel like the option of knowing should be there.

@gwmngilfen That does seem like a shortcoming of today's modern AI/ML solutions. There's decisions they make go unexplained for the most part. There's literally a movement in the AI community trying to develop AI that will explain itself. I agree, that's kind of a sad situation.

More people in the FOSS community need to look at AI and deep learning. If we're not involved, AI will be proprietary.

@brandon Yea, I have my Mycroft on my desk right next to my computer. I used to have it running on my computer prior to getting my Mark I, but since they're right next to each other, it was redundant.

I highly recommend supporting the project if you can. Mycroft is just the sort of project we need in the AI market. At present, it's not up to the same standard as Amazon or Google's offerings, but it's improving quickly. Plus, it's open source nature means you can contribute features you want.

Kickstarter for the new Mycroft Mark II just went live. Get em while they're hot people!

Seriously, if you're interested in AI assistants, but are concerned about privacy, this is the kind of project that needs your support.
