I am working on my keynote for ActivityPub Conf. The keynote is titled "ActivityPub: Past, Present, Future".

The real problem is: all three of those could be separate talks! But what I am most interested in is the future, even though the past and present are interesting. I'm struggling to figure out how much of those I should include.

How have nodes going down on the network affected you, personally? Looking for peoples' stories, experiences.

@sandro @emacsen I wish you would have registered because I think decentralized trust and safety are going to be a major topic of conversation at this year's apconf! Oh well... we will miss you!

I'm sympathetic both ways, but for instance, recently I discussed how the 8chan founder thinks 8chan should be taken down https://members.tortoisemedia.com/2019/06/29/8chan/content.html

It would be hard to discuss that without referring to the site specifically, even though I agree that noteriety is what many of its users are after.

How far does it go, though? Which of these must not be named?

- Gab?
- 8chan?
- Specific white nationalist shooters?
- Trump???
