@bobstechsite @kaniini Hopefully regular people will feel the impact trough lower prices, more inovation and, most importantly imo more competition from smaller actors. For example Fairphone should have an easier time surviving and creating new things now, I'd guess.

@deadsuperhero Yes, I like that. If we can get all the instances that uses ActivityPub (and/or other federation protocols) to tell their users that they're a part of the fediverse. There are many issues, though. Poeple need to understand it, and only instances/services that are actually compatible with each other has to talk about it in this way. If someone thinks they can subscribe to something but can't, they'll be rightly annoyed and might leave.
