This morning I got the wikis onto my netbook, but my public one won't run for some reason. :/ I'll tinker with it tomorrow. The performance isn't great: the web server takes like 30 seconds to start.
Earlier I got super stressed and both felt confused and struggling to concentrate on things. I'm not sure if the stress caused it, but upon noticing the symptoms and that the stress might be causing them, to regain a sense of productivity with the problem that was stressing me out I stepped back from the problem and slowly, patiently worked through it. The mental fog cleared after a while, and I feel better now, but yikes.
On the way to work my Dad and I found an area of #Sacramento that's near my work, lightrail, and has a bunch of nice apartment buildings! So now I'm looking for it on Craigslist
No #wiki work this morning. #BodhiLinux is now on the netbook, but updating all the packages took forever, so I didn't have a chance to import my wikis. Accordingly, I didn't bring the netbook with me.
I think I'll slap #BodhiLinux on my old netbook and carry it around with me as a dedicated #wiki machine. My laptop is too heavy and bulky to bring around with me, and I'd be more worried about it getting stolen.
Finally trying out the new skateboard ramp. I have few things to prop it on, so it's either 15 degrees or 40. 😂 (It's a reinforced metal sheet for making a ramp out of any supports, such as curbs or ledges)
:( My favorite online radio station hasn't broadcast the channel that I like in about a week. I think they don't update their website, otherwise I'd be hopeful that the fact that it's still listed there is a sign that it'll come back. I'm glad I kept an archive of track lists.
I've been fussing about #Pijul because I've figured out some daily time slots during which I can start practicing coding, and I don't want to fuss with #Git. #NoDAG
I wonder how much poor #marketing and #advertising leads to products being higher priced than they'd be if their marketing and advertising efforts were better.
#Librem5 will be dope. The marketing is overly pointed towards privacy-focused people, restricting market awareness and favorable market perceptions. Prices per unit for the first production run will be high but wouldn't be as high if they could produce more units. They'd produce more if they could estimate that more would sell. But they can't/shouldn't given their current, lame marketing.
I wish that #Wallabag kept records of when I've attempted to add particular articles to my reading list. It seems to only store info regarding when I first saved the article and uses that date for all date-related operations, such as sorting by most recent articles. This becomes an issue when you happen to re-save an article that you first came across & saved years before, so you can't simply find it when you go to your list of articles today, you have to search for it, which is tedious. Instead, sorting by most recently saved would firstly pull from the index of times when articles saved, then pull the content for each particular article.
@whistlewright@lohang I think that #wiki software would help to bring about better sites and a better web in the long term. Blogs don't do enough, in my opinion, to enable and encourage owners to integrate and refine their works, improving the quality of their sites and the web as a whole.
