It's entirely possible he was making it all up, I can't find anything on the web about knives or duels in Macau.

His delivery was just so funny, he said they're intense and hilarious, so you'd expect the followup to be something about creative insults, but it was just this escalating story about knife violence.

A guy I talked to yesterday, who used to live in Macau:

"I love Macanese, there so intense, they're hilarious."
"Aha, how so?"
"Like, I had this friend, and she had to change her vet, because she threatened to stab the vet."
"Wow!"
"Yeah, like, the vet said, oh, this treatment will be difficult and expensive, and she just pulled a knife on him."

The people I go on these boats with are the best people.

I'm a bit tired, as kid and I had movie night until late, and then I got up early for the boat. When I was just in a corner checking my phone a bit, and withdrawing a bit just to rest my brain, several people:

1) asked if I was ok
2) went about their business right away when I assured them that I was feeling well and was just resting

I'm on a boat!
