Is there such a thing as a soup pot with a cast-iron bottom?

I don't want to buy non-stick pots and inevitably get micro teflon in my food as it deteriorates, and I really like how my cast-iron frying pan works.

I suppose there are full cast-iron pots, but those would be super heavy and also easy to burn yourself on.

I suppose it's not possible to make something like this without getting a seam that would inevitably leak?

@Martijn Vos You can expect a SyFy 2000 budget (the "was this city rendered on an Amiga" feeling), a bit of a stage production feeling and silly hats, but if you're up for all that I think Dune 2000 is a good visual retelling of the book, and it's great that it goes on to do Messiah and Children, which we may or may not ever see on the big screen.

I love the 1984 version, but what makes it good is how camp and weird it is. The departures from the book – the weirding module, the mysticism played straight, the heart plugs – those are the things that make it unique and make it what it is.

I really loved the dry and factual character of 2000, and all the politics, and I felt it an improvement over 1984, which I had grown to find a bit silly, but now I look back at 1984 with more fondness because it's just more visceral and primal. It misses core concepts and kind of the point of the book, but it is its own thing.

One could say that the book, 2000 and 2021 are more like the documentary and 1984 is the legend. As it keeps literally reminding us. 😃

2021 is the "best" version for me, it affected me deeply and it will again when I rewatch it this month. But it's not the most fun version. 😁
