@funkwhale Is it possible / will it be possible to only allow specific users to listen to specific tracks? I'd like to use funkwhale to listen to my library, but I also don't want to serve most of the music to other people, since that's a copyright violation in many cases.

@calvin Maybe, now I'm scared that I broke it!

What kind of a USB-A just lets you plug it in either way? I might've just broken one because it went easily about halfway in.

@icefox I'm making a minimalist* UI crate, using glutin and rusttype. I'm designing the API based on imgui concepts. Currently it can mostly just make buttons on the screen, but it's definitely wip.
*Well, as minimalist as you can get while still providing a robust cross-platform experience. Glutin and rusttype definitely aren't the lightest crates, but they do their job really well, and work out of the box on win/mac/linux and even the BSDs afaik.

Some progress tonight. Added a lot of stuff behind the scenes (UI crate is getting lots of functionality updates :happyfelix: ), and implemented location spawning and selections. Next up, connections between locations and inspection UI. #gamedev #openjam2018

@CharredStencil I can definitely get that. I'm personally trying to find a way to make a good immediate-mode API, but I've given up on the stateless part (in the backend).
It does seem weird to me to have ids like you've described, but I suppose some features are hard to have without them.

@CharredStencil I'm not sure there's value in being "truly immediate-mode". You either need to hold state behind the scenes, or have your user hold the state and give it to you as needed, which seems a lot less ergonomic to me.
The state I'm talking about being like, text that has been entered in a text field, the mouse's state during the last frame to detect clicks, etc.

@CharredStencil I've interpreted the idea of imgui as being purely about the API, not the implementation. So I don't think the widgets are even supposed to be stateless, the state is just not held by the user. Or do you mean API weirdnesses?

@Michcioperz @ivesen It certainly has some nice ligatures, which is why I've used it.

@ivesen I've used Fira Code quite a bit! Seems like a nice font, at least in its monospace variety.

What's a good, libre font for displaying generic text? If you were to pick a default font for a browser, which would it be? I'm asking because I'm not sure I have any taste when it comes to fonts, and I feel like there are a lot of strong opinions about this.

@Are0h Fair enough, just pointing out that there's been a lot of unfair conversing from Mastodon's lead dev :shrugfelix:
And sorry for jumping on a thread like that.

@Are0h @lanodan Pleroma is a good alternative to Mastodon, and its developers are considered to be nazis by many people. Or, at least so it seemed a while back, haven't seen that in a while.
Not very conversational, pulling the nazi card when alternatives to Mastodon appear.
