@theartguy I mean, idk if it's that we don't regard them as "real people," but there's a huge mismatch there between how much time, formal education and direct feedback the average person gets regarding irl interaction vs online stuff

We literally spend years teaching children how to share and play together, consider each other's feelings. It's a concerted effort.

But then people get online and they're jerks, and we wonder why
