    Hardware that can run the latest Apps without being slow is expensive. Hardware that can do all the things those Apps do if programmed more responsibly is cheap.
    I want to build ultralight software that is runnable on dirt-cheap hardware. I want to build new hardware that is inexpensive but still useful and pleasant to use.
    I feel like we're not far away from this, and that all we need to do is push for it to become more popular an idea.

    Y'all might find this cool. I used to work in an office that was above the basement facility where many ofthe Enigma-breaker machines were assembled. It was scheduled for demolition, so before it was, I tried to find something to take as a souvenir. This is what I got. Certainly not a unique or identifying artifact, but I like having it. (And yes, it's full of first aid supplies because it seems heretical to have a box labeled first aid that doesn't have first aid in it, no matter how old)

    3. Add uMatrix to your browser and block JavaScript.

    @masklayer Openbox on its own doesn't handle power management functions. If you don't want to run gnome-power-manager when Openbox starts up (using the autostart script or ~/.xsession), you might want to dig into the acpid documentation.
