I went to a couple of talks at DEF CON that inspired me to do something different. I'm going to be more involved with Tor.

I also attended Bruce Shneier's talk where he made a call for people to step forward as Public Interest Technologists... and I think in many ways that was the kind of role that Aaron was playing.

What about you? What more could we do?

I'll be attending AmiWest in Sacramento again, in case by very slim odds any of you will be there too. :amiga:

I remember things like BeOS and OS/2 that modernized many concepts. I want for us to keep trying to make something better.

I wish the EFF would stop trying to reform Facebook and start promoting open-source fediverse alternatives.

Some BBS config and a bunch of home network rejiggering to follow before I can push this live.
