@kafkaesqueNomad I was like, I don't know, twelve? Didn't get up the courage to try looking into it again until over a decade later.

I made up this whole epic saga with her in my head but I never wrote it because it didn't occur to me that anyone else would ever want to read it because I had run so fast from the whole fanfiction scene I forgot it existed.

And by "ship her with Goku" I mean "have her land on Earth intent to destroy him and get her ass kicked which led to her respecting him and eventually falling for him in a one-sided unrequited heel-face turn", which tells you a lot of my favorite narrative tropes right in one fell swoop

(My OC was a female for a bunch of reasons, the main two being a) I was annoyed by the lack of female Saiyans in the series, and b) I had not yet been introduced to the concept of m/m and I wanted to ship her with Goku)

I actually had OCs for both. I would LARP my DBZ OC when no one else was around, sometimes. She was so great, and by great I mean her name was exactly the kind of thing you'd expect from a weeaboo kid who listened to the local alt rock station, a.k.a. I would cringe to share it.

Also, I hadn't realized at the time that all Saiyans are named after vegetables.

If I had actually gotten into fanfic in my youth instead of being put off by an unfortunate first encounter, I would've written so much digimon and DBZ fanfic.

for those unfamiliar with solarpunk, it's basically a look into an ideal future where climate change is under control, plants have been allowed to reclaim structures and grow overtop new ones, and solar panels are stuck to everything much in the way gears are slapped on everything steampunk
