I stand and remove my hat for the national anthem. That's my deal. But I respect your right to take a knee every bit as much as I respect your right to burn a flag, even though I would not do that either. If you can't make a conscientious protest against injustice, especially injustice on the part of your government, then the last 250 years have been a waste of our fucking time and America's a failure.
!tzag? !tzaf? I don't even know anymore. It's 5:00 AM, I've been off work for three hours, I'm !drinking a beer and waiting for the sunrise. #ilovethenightlifebaby

KevieI saw posts from a person going through chemotherapy yesterday. Understandably, the tone of her posts were filled with worry and sad. I simply replied that she was beautiful, when she responded as to why I said that I simply said that it was true. Her posts for the rest of the day all included smiley faces and hearts. Even a nice post can make a difference but we must make the effort #BeExcellentToEachOther
I worked for a telephone operator contracting company in college, ~2002. They contracted operator services (0/411) to rural phone companies. It was a fascinating job. I had buttons on my keyboard that would produce output on my screen but no longer actually did anything that I could ever discern. It was a weird old system on top of an even weirder, even older system.
As my day ends, I remember to grateful for the blessings it has brought me. My life has changed dramatically in the last few weeks, for better and worse and weirder, but the feeling that has predominated has been one of gratitude. Every good thing in my life, every possibility, has not only been the result of my character but also the love and loyalty of my friends and my family.
Every day things get better and I get better. I'm grateful and humbled that I get that opportunity. I did some of that, but God did most of it.
