> Not bad! Thought it was less than that :)
@6gain He-he, there's hope for us yet :-).
> maybe we need a gathering place. Is the old XMPP room still alive?
Well, I never cared about it even when it was around, it didn't even occur to me when I got the chance to revive the XMPP service.
gnusocial@conference.bka.li should be sufficient, I think.

> It's too bad that communism logically means anti-humanism
@ani @ferretsyndicate Attach a definition of communism.
> and thus if you label yourself an anti-communist you are a humanist defined. 😇
Such as Augusto Pinochet and Adolf Hitler.

@6gain But I get the feeling that I'm forgetting about a lot of pet, so probably more :-).
-
@6gain Hm, around 15, I think.
-
@bedap @mangeurdenuage It has been resolved, thank you.

> and it turns out that our server doesn't support IPv6.
@bedap That's no big deal. The only reason this is a problem is because the domain advertises an IPv6 address with an AAAA record.
Just remove the invalid IP address from DNS, and it'll all be good :-).
-
@bedap @mangeurdenuage Still a problem…
-
@fribbledom I barely know what Facebook looks like.
-
@ani What is your objective?
-
@ani https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangalore In India.
-
@ani Don't reply to spam. I guess it slipped through.
-
@lain Opened the link just to check if it's Pet Shop Boys :-).
-
@mangeurdenuage Hi. sunbeam.city is not reachable through IPv6, that's the problem.
For now I've hardcoded the IPv4 address in the hosts file. I really don't want to disable IPv6 on the server. Luckily, this doesn't happen as often as it once did.
@bedap, if you read this, please fix the AAAA DNS record.

@moonman I'm just implying that if they don't block HTTPS, then they don't truly block !xmpp either.
It is possible to connect to XMPP through the 443 port, and it's possible to stream it through HTTPS with WebSockets or BOSH.
It's possible to block even that, but I somehow doubt they have DPI of this level (or any) ;-).
-
@moonman Someone's blocking your XMPP?
Four words: DirectTLS, sslh, WebSockets/BOSH.

> The 'is there a nuclear explosion' category has a large number of yes votes for My Little Pony and I can't say I've seen it, but this seems astonishingly unlikely.

@moonman Ah, now your dent makes sense :-).
