"2 years ago, known Thought Criminal Richard M Stallman was falsely accused of defending rape in an Orwellian smear campaign, orchestrated by mainstream media at the behest of proprietary software vendors. 36 years fighting for your digital freedom, cancelled. It was so vicious that he resigned from his post as president of the Free Software Foundation. The FSF did nothing to protect or defend him. However, you can defend him!"

I came back home at 11pm.
We made the formworks for the cement that is gonna be poured.
Took care of the garden even tho there's no sun. I added more woodchips to some place since it didn't require much light to do.
Made myself dinner with some salad and a bag of chips. Made some food for my dog too.
I just finished my green tea.

    >the GPL makes it possible to fork anytime you think they've gone wrong, no matter what anyone votes or signs letters for.
Indeed but the issue isn't about software tho.
The issue is that some people have been using lies and other malicious means to harm people with the justification it's for the good of the community.

This isn't only about RMS, it's also about EsR and Torvalds and many other supporters who have been damaged, lost their life against inane arguments.

What does this say when the actual founder of the software freedom movement gets harmed by other members who injected their own malicious agenda on top of the said movement ?
And besides that, they aren't only asking for RMS's demise now, they are asking for the whole FSF board members to be removed.
If these people continue as they do there won't be any software freedom long term speaking. There will be some speudo freedom as long as you don't infringe the CoC.

    >what other options are there?
    Troc/barter.
The problem is that everyone values objects differently.
And we still that with cash. For example I did a 4 day job on a single computer and it cost 120 euros for the customer, other people would either never had done work on it because they see it has non profitable due to the cost of living/time passed to solve the problem. Or it would have costed a lot more than what I asked for.

    >Labour voucher
    >see wiki
    >With such a system in place, monetary theft would become impossible
Does not change the problem of being able to exchange the paper between people, thus it makes fraud possible, if that's a problem to you of course. Imo people should be free to do what they want with their retribution.
This is what happens with checks these days when people do not want to pay in cash. Multiple checks with certain amounts without names are made and then people either exchange them with other people or pay with more than one check.

    >precious metals
Precious metals or precious gems are also arbitrarily evaluated.

    >cryptocurrency
-When the internet will be fully anonymous
-When computer will run GPL software/hardware from top to bottom
-When the power used to mine isn't waisted into nothingness, like for example "World Community Grid" and other projects.
Tbh I'd go into cryptocurrency if they would implement such function. WCG-Coins. Coins in which computation results were made for public research projects.

There is no real definitive solution to the currency system. The only system that works is when a majority of people accepts it. Like most system.
