    @hyde_stevenson It depends on your perspective. Sure, both softwares want to organize communiities aroud events.

    But #GetTogether looks oriented to corporate users (a la #MeetUp) and idk where they landed on their economic model.

    We want to orient #Mobilizon towards facebook users that organize their activities and activisms there, and we are funded only through small donations.

    Both will be interoperable through #ActivityPub, though.

    @mmarif @raboof Yup, we have just released the 1st beta of #mobilizon : https://framablog.org/2019/10/15/mobilizon-lifting-the-veil-on-the-beta-release/ (with a demo instance).

    It's still a work in progress we plan to integrate #activityPub federation by the end of the year, and a full v1 release during 1st semester 2020.

    En août dernier l'excellente forge Gitlab migrait vers Google Cloud :-(
    https://about.gitlab.com/blog/2018/07/19/gcp-move-update/

    Conséquence directe: le site n'est plus accessible depuis plusieurs pays. Conséquence indirecte : les informaticien⋅nes de ces mêmes pays ne peuvent même plus télécharger le code source (libre) de Gitlab pour l'installer sur leurs serveurs.

    @Framasoft propose un miroir des dépôts Debian de Gitlab : https://apt.gitlab.mirror.framasoft.org/

    N'hésitez pas à faire tourner l'info (dans d'autres langues si possible).

    @LienRag Que l'on se place du point de vue des personnes qui veulent se dégoogliser, de celles qui portent ce combat (et cette responsabilité) depuis plus de 5 ans, ou des personnes qui peuvent prendre le relais... on ne pourra pas répondre aux besoins ni aux attentes de tout le monde (pas sans Marraine la bonne fée).

    Du coup nous tentons de faire le meilleur compromis possible, sans épuiser quiconque, selon les cartes qui nous sont dealées. 3/3.

    Nous on fait de notre mieux, en créant un appel d'air tout en investissant beaucoup d'énergies dans l'animation de CHATONS.

    Mais croire que nous avons le luxe d'attendre un solutionnisme technique, c'est croire en un Framasoft-à-énergie-infinie, c'est ne considérer que les besoins des utilisateurices sans penser que derrière les machines, il y a aussi des personnes, et que leurs journées aussi ne font que 24h.

    Dans le fond, c'est la poule ou l'œuf : est-ce que si on crée un appel d'air alors on crée de la pérennité fédérée, ou est-ce qu'il faut l'attendre avant de créer un appel d'air... 1/n
