The main contradiction of liberal democracy is that it has largely been shaped through a history of various forms of illegal civil disobedience against entrenched power structures. @jalcine at this point, I view AP as a healthy experiment that allows us to check out some long-standing pain points while discovering many new ones.

I don't exactly want to hurt the standard because I feel like it could legitimately unify many different platforms within the fediverse. But I do think our shared experiences could lead towards something that isn't completely over-engineered insanity.
