My biggest criticism is a couple of talking heads repeat the axiomatic 'singleplayer is dead' in the segment about HL3. One of them was a Black Mesa developer, which to me just seems bizarre.
It would be more truthful to just admit that studios aren't interested in single player because it is hard, and hard is expensive.
@fribbledom When Steam for Linux came out I really immersed myself in it, and didn't update my hardware for ages. I had a Phenom 965 and 550ti which wasn't a lot, but it ran every Linux flagship title just fine.
I also had a Windows partition and observed the same thing you did; performance tended to improve in most titles over their lifetime.
I slipped in the snow on Sunday; I put a lot of force through my left knee. It's been difficult and painful since. If it doesn't improve in 24hrs, I don't see much choice but to get it looked at.
C'mon Down to Mick's House of Amulets where the amulets are practically giving /themselves/ away!
Seriously, take an amulet. They're great. They light up. You can talk to other amulet holders. They're cheap.
All you have to do is sign a contract that says whatever the yellowed eye in the amulet's heart sees can be transferred back to Amulet HQ and the Heart of Eyes for study. What's a little studying going to hurt, eh?
@qwazix I think around five years ago there was still a degree of fury around this subject, but Zuckerberg et al knew they could just keep opening the Overton Window further.
I was discussing this with a friend - it's now practically a given that social media companies will not be the least bit responsible with user data.
Discussing all things windows and displays with @starbreaker made me fire up i3 on my desktop again. I had forgotten the joy of huge windows with minimal stuff in the way. So clear.
