Heard of a cool tech-bro-weeding interview technique the other day. A male and female engineer conduct the interview session together. If, when the female engineer asks the candidate a question, he directs his answer to the male engineer, then he's out. They said it happens a lot
@russss Hope you're feeling better soon. I was very happy at Camp to finally put a face to the cool person I had been chatting to online. I hope I'll manage to attend EMF next year to return the favor (or something).
@blabber As there is an open ticket for the behaviour I'm seeing (complete with coredump), I'm going to go with "lucky you" here. A notice in the wiki/README/docs would've been pretty helpful.
Oh no, I found the issue. It doesn't work as long as a twitter account is running. Actually, it just doesn't start up while a Twitter account is running, actvating it later is fine. Whyyyy /o\
(This would have seen much more active Fediverse use had I known about this months ago)
Has anybody been able to get the mastodon plugin for #bitlbee to run? I can get it to create an account, run through OAuth, show me a bunch of messages – and then it crashes immediately. As in: leads to a bitlbee coredump.
@lugubris@rwa Sure – and in that case, wouldn't a conversation be more useful than a condescending "really?" – internet discourse is bad as it is, no need to contribute to it like that.
@rwa Oh wow, you manage to link only pages that have no external trackers? I'm impressed – I'd have little to no good content to share with people if I did that.
(But if you or anybody else need help setting up a blocker, I'm of course here to help.)
@cloudflarelink It seems to me you are a bot that interacts with users without being asked to. This is against the rules of this instance. Please stop this behaviour, or we'll have to suspend the account.
