if you have a GitHub account please go to that link (see previous toot for more) and say something there. Just like a thumbs up or something is enough but there has to actually be more than one voice in this. And more comments/ideas are good.
Could the coder types here go over to the gitpub repo and give opinions about if moderation ideas should be built into the spec for the ActivityPub-based federated git stuff?
Because it would be nice to have a git setup with moderation tools (because GitHub refused to do anything useful there) and getting it into the spec would make life much easier in the future.
This weeks 360 video is once again robbie driving along Les Berges de Seine, but this time not through a crowd. There is a big ranibow-y thing painted on the ground for pride that is neat to see in 360, but it is a much more relaxed video than last weeks was. And as a bonus there is some live saxophone music near the end of the ride.
@zatnosk yeah, french is the same way. Vowels are the more important sounds and changing them changes the words completely. It is the hardest part of french for me because there are so many things that would be the same word in english and make a big difference in french.
@zatnosk for people who have English as their first language (particularly American English) vowels don't really matter. This means that in many (or most) american accents 'mastodon' and 'mastadon' sound the same.
So that may have something to do with it. I had to check to see if the spelling was mastodon or mastadon when I saw your toot but I am particularly bad at spelling so I may not be a good example.
I am rewriting the entire MCRobbie library to hopefully work better and instead of writing the code and then adding documentation, or writing documentation as I wrote the code I am writing the documentation and then making code that fits that.
It is working really well. I should do more projects this way.
But then again this may not be a good example because I am very familiar with what the library should do.
@eris javert is only really interested in sticks that are comically oversized for her. She found a branch that was about 10 feet long and 2 inches thick at the base in the park today before the grounds keepers got it and she managed to tear it to pieces in about 5 minutes.
It was adorable but I was playing with her so I didn't manage to get any pictures. But she looked similar to these pictures.
@cosine I have worked with computers and electronics for most of 30 years, and an an electrical engineer for more than a decade, and the best answer I can come up with is magical gnomes.
one of the best parts about being #tiethulu for my wedding was that I could then give out ties as party favors and the different colors meant that people could pick a tie that went with their outfit.
