@lnxw48a1 every PL community or widely used tool is filled with people who think "Rust Help" is the same as "Programming Help" and demand your help for them to understand what a for loop is
@bob what's that? i hear something in the distance? is that... the sound of disenfranchised video creators? are they chanting? what are they chanting? it sounds like peer.... peer what? ah, peertube! it's peertube! the people call for #peertube!
it's a free software link aggregator with voting and subforums, centered around Leftism and anarchism but including diverse forums
one thing i especially love about it: it is filled with in-depth, thorough, and relevant news, as well as light memes
i'm just gonna keep plugging it routinely because there are so many good memes there i keep wanting to X-post, but i can't do it all day so why don't you all just join me there!
i hate "last boost / LB / LRT" statuses. they are soo clunky. i have to go to your profile and scroll through. if it's old i might never find it
try this instead
1. reply
2. boost your reply so it shows up in the home TL of all ppl who follow you
if you want, you can remove the @mention from your reply so you don't noti them. or say "not directed at OP". but discussion is great, why would you do that?
if you don't wanna reply, at least link the mentioned status, please!
there is a certain beauty to street advertising. it's shallow, disheartening, and immoral but there's a lot of effort in there. someone put a lot of money or a lot of time into making their street sign pop. and stand out, and everyone did it. so this amalgam of individual bests makes this weird landscape that is very cool
i think one reason i like east asian city imagery is because i don't know the scripts. so i can appreciate the beauty without the repulsiveness of capitalism
so i'm passive-aggressively giving my parents linux live usbs for christmas. they use windows and feel uncomfortable with switching (but they only use browser, email + office so they would love linux)
what distro should i put on? i think linux mint is a good one, right? anyone heard of zorin os or chalet os?
