@meredith_matthews You can make threshold and stop spending once you reach it etc... There are a lot of people with AWS experience in my feed, so if you get stuck or want help setting that up, I'm sure we'll be there for you.
@chosafine I'm doing well I guess. I'm trying to get serious about making tabletop games, so I incorporated a compay 3 days ago.
I listen to a lots of podcast on boardgame and change my plans a bit. I'm doing a 54 card game version of the game I was doing before which makes things easier. I really need move from the prototype phase to the development phase and find a way to play test the game a lot, while not impacting the rest of things I need to keep doing.
The best way to get more people to join Mastodon is to stop caring about getting people to join Mastodon, and start focusing on making this place a nice place to be.
- Block FLOSS evangelist dudebros; - Report nazis and TERFs; - Take care of and support each other; - Avoid unsolicited advice/criticism/etc; - Report bugs to your admin; - Post your feature requests; - Don't go into someone's mentions to whinge about tangentially related things.
I set a goal of $500. If I don't hit it by March 2018, I'll have to de-prioritize the Patreon and focus on other, more traditional ways of making money like products and services.
I like the idea of Patreon, but it needs to start working for me soon. 2018 is crunch time for me. I really need to get this independent income thing going. I already gave my last Patreon a full year of all my spare energy without much result.
Dear lazyweb: some time (a year?) ago I saw some project to (if I recall correctly) make a collection of RPGs that were meant to be used anytime, like at school, in prison, while serving in the military, or whatever.
I seem to recall they had some sort of crowdfunding campaign, but I doubt it was Kickstarter or similar.
I have tried to look for it several times, but I don't remember the name so it has proven hard.
