@vascorsd I don't like anything after City of Evil, but I loved those early albums back in the day. the drummer on those albums died unfortunately. Waking the Fallen is my favorite album, and the first half of the songs on City of Evil are pretty good.

part 2 goes right back into that metalcore thing that I loved in high school but am no longer into but they reprise the section I like from part 1 so it gets partial credit.

it is my objective observation that I Won't See You Tonight Part 1 still slaps. long sections of droning 8ths on the guitar, matched by the kick with lots of crash cymbal noise on top is a magic formula that will always work on me.

I like to think that my musical tastes have matured since high school but the drumming on the first 3 avenged sevenfold albums still get me hyped up (even if the vocals mostly take away from the enjoyment at this point).

@cwebber if she wins the primary I'll be more than happy to vote for her in the general. but I don't like playing the meta-game when it comes to primaries. I vote for who I think is best. Warren has similar baggage to Clinton, however unwarranted and undeserved it is, so I don't think the meta-game works out so clearly in her favor.

@garbados the problem I've had with lisp is that it has ruined all other programming languages for me. but no one will pay me to write lisp.

Ace Combat 4 was a really great game. that is all.

2 1/2 years after moving in, we finally have blinds for some of our downstairs windows. now that is how you get shit done.

@hammerron it is super silly! but when you're a little kid you can't really tell. another example: my wife saw ET at a really young age and had nightmares about it.

@hammerron reading the youtube comments on a youtube video about this movie has taught me that I am not alone in being utterly terrified by this movie as a kid. it gave lots of people nightmares.

@hammerron I remember *nothing* else about the movie. I'm sure it would be actually funny watching it now, instead of nightmare fuel.

something just reminded me of how I saw Mars Attacks on TV when I was very young and how frightened I was when one of the aliens came out of the ship and zapped a soldier with some kind of laser gun and turned him into a skeleton. I haven't seen the movie since so I don't even know if my memory is accurate but it's burned into my brain as what happened and it's still spooky.
