@Greg @lindner @ntnsndr has a sandstorm doc (can't find it) for a starter.coop idea.

I like the idea of open publishing of structures, and forking just like git.

@Greg github made open source and git accessible to a wide audience, and aggregated the whole dev market.

I want the same type of thing for governance. Give me a tool that creates the structure, plans the meetings, the votes and even files the incorporation forms.

Then publish it. I can take the structure of a coop that's working and 'fork' it for new uses. Add in support of specific platforms (like mastodon, hosting, etc) and away you go. #platformcoop as a service (provided by a coop).

Imagine a github for #platformcoops

Mastadon is already restoring my faith in the possibilities of social media. Obviously a long way to go to build up the power that's remotely in the order of magnitude the Silicon Valley giants, but the discussions on social.coop are awesome.

Why is Vero getting attention all of a sudden when Mastodon is clearly 100% the best?

Anybody know of a #diaspora pod with aims/goals/ethics similar to #socialcoop? Looking to ditch #CentralizedSocialMedia entirely and wanna find a good pod to call home.

I love this idea. social.coop could definitely sponsor a regular forum for Mastodon instance operators, to bring more of the cooperative spirit to the masto network. :)

#Vero is getting hudge attention over #twitter. It's a new social network, co-founded by a capitalist that left thousands of their workers unpaid in a dessert camp, and even stoped food, electricity...suply.

We can:
- make that visable
- highlight the anti-capitalist values of the fediverse
- expand on the beauty of federation and free software
