Happy New Year! As it’s the first day of the year and a #meta Monday, some thoughts on The Wandering Shop for 2018:

* We will cross 1000 members early this year. This is a pretty big community!

* I’d love to do more things to make this feel like a community, and I welcome suggestions for that. Should we have a forum, or a website, or other services for members?

1. Go to settings
2. Go to your profile settings
3. Copy-paste a green checkmark character into your name, and click save.

That's it. You're verified. Be free.

This right here is why open source matters, why being able to own the technology you use matters. Why technology made by community matters.

Whether or not you were affected by why this feature came into existence, it matters that the community can change the medium. It makes a difference to have community-minded people at the helm.
