I had a nice evening yesterday at the offline at the KDE Plasma 6 release party https://kde.org/announcements/megarelease/6/. Guess the most important thing is, that the cube and wobbly windows are back 🥰

Not that I really used it in the past, but I remember having it active during some Linux presentations and it was always an eye-catcher to have to show off the capabilities of this other OS that is for free and runs on old hardware.

Wir treffen uns wie gewohnt in der c-base zum Fediverse Stammtisch - egal ob du nun Friendica, Hubzilla, Mastodon, Pixelfed, gathio oder sonst ein Projekt aus dem Fediverse benutzt, kommt doch einfach vorbei zum Palavern in lustiger Runde.

Hey there, in case you had not noticed it, we released Friendica 2024.02-rc https://friendi.ca/2024/02/14/friendica-2024-03-release-candidate-available/ on Wednesday. Among the unlisted things in the release note are bug fixes for two security/privacy related bugs that have been found in 2023.12.

If you have not yet updated to the 2024.03-RC, personally I would encourage you to do so (or to the latest development branch, there the fixes are included as well). The RC branch is pretty stable and we aim for a release as early in March as possible.

In case you have not installed Friendica using git, but with the archive files, please have a look at the 2023.12 release notes https://friendi.ca/2023/12/24/friendica-2023-12-released/ and pick the latest archives from https://files.friendi.ca/ (there is already a friendica-full-2024.03-rc archive, but for the addons you need to take the friendica-addons-2024.03-dev archive as the RC branch had not seen any commits for the addons so far).

@once48a1 yes were.But they pileed up a lot of needed investment, have now large construction work going on and are running on a full rail road system, so small delays can sum up quickly and escalate on some routes.This weekend in special, there was some vandalism (theft of cables) at a main high speed route causing much delay for some connections.

Am 5. Februar 2024 ist wieder Zeit für den FRe;AK Stammtisch / Feditreff in der Berliner c-base. Wieder wie gewohnt am ersten Montag des Monats von 19 bis 21 Uhr treffen sich hier Nutzer:innen von Friendica, Hubzilla, Mastodon und all den anderen Projekten aus dem Fediverse um über das Geschehen im Fediverse und drum herum zu palavern. Menschen die das Fediverse als dezentrales Soziales Netzwerk, gerade erst entdeckt haben und einfach ein paar Fragen klären wollen sind herzlich willkommen!

Die c-base findet ihr in der Rungestraße 20 direkt am Spreeufer (durch alle Hinterhöfe durch) unweit vom U/S Bahnhof Jannowitzbrücke.
