die @Free Software Foundation Europe veranstaltet mit der @LpB NRW und der VHS Köln einen Fachtag zum Thema „Die Welt nach Facebook, Twitter und YouTube. Eine neue Generation des Internets?” https://fsfe.org/news/2023/news-20230712-01.de.html der sich an Multiplikatorinnen der politischen Bildung, an Lehrkräfte, Vertreterinnen öffentlicher Institutionen und Bildungseinrichtungen sowie an alle Interessierten. Vorkenntnisse und Erfahrungen rund um dezentrale soziale Netzwerke sind nicht notwendig, denn ein Überblick über verschiedene dezentrale Dienste, die oft als „Fediverse“ bezeichnet werden, gehört zum Programm. Weitere Themen sind Potenziale und Probleme dezentraler Dienste und ihre Bedeutung für die demokratische Gesellschaft. In drei Workshops geht es ganz praktisch um die Nutzung von Fediverse-Diensten, um den Betrieb eigener Instanzen und um Wissensvermittlung zu dezentralen sozialen Netzwerken im Bildungskontext.

Termin des Fachtags ist der 22.09.2023 von 10 bis 16 Uhr, in der FORUM Volkshochschule im Museum am Neumarkt, Cäcilienstraße 29-33, 50667 Köln.

Stammtisch Zeit

Im August rutscht der erste Montag spät in den Monat, drum findet der Fediverse Stammtisch in der c-base erst am 7. August ab 19 Uhr. Perfekt um mal wieder die Menschen hinter den Profilbildern zu treffen und über Friendica, Hubzilla, Mastodon und den Rest des Fediverses zu schnacken.

Die c-base findet ihr in der Rungestraße 20 fußläufig vom S+U Bahnhof Jannowitzbrücke direkt am Spree-Ufer; von der Straße im zweiten Hinterhof.

Symposium "The world after Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. A new generation of the Internet?" in Cologe / Germany

The Free Software Foundation Europe, the Centre for Civic Education of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Adult Education Centre Cologne are organising a symposium on Sept 22, 2023 in Cologne (Germany) about the Fediverse. Which is aimed at multipliers in political education, teachers, representatives of public institutions and educational establishments, as well as all interested parties.

Yesterday I learned, that there is a tool called woke to automatically check texts for detecting non-inclusive language https://github.com/get-woke/woke I think that could be useful. @Nico Rikken wrote a tool to build config files https://gitlab.com/nicorikken/woke-config-builder for it.

Hallo allerseits,

am Montag, den 3.7. ist wieder Zeit für den FRe;AK Stammtisch in der c-base. Ab 19 Uhr ergibt sich so die perfekte Gelegenheit mal Menschen hinter den Profilbildern zu treffen und über Friendica, Hubzilla und den Rest des Fediverse zu schnacken.

In the current development version of Friendica (Merge pull request 13208) I noticed an for me unwanted feature I did not noticed before. Postings coming from Diaspora that are shown in my network timeline because the posting is "Distributed" according to the little icon in the postings header.

I don't follow the authors of the posting and there is no indication who is "distributing" those posting that I might follow.

Looking at the logs for one of the postings guid I find this line here.

FRe;AK Stammtischzeit

Am kommenden Montag, den 5.6.2023, ist es ab 19 Uhr wieder Zeit für den Fediverse Stammtisch in der c-base in #Berlin. Ab 19h bietet sich dann wieder die Gelegenheit über Friendica, Mastodon und Co zu palavern und ein paar Gesichter hinter den Profil-Bildern kennen zu lernen.

Für diejenigen die sie nicht kennen, die c-base findet ihr in der Rungestraße 20 direkt am Ufer im Hinterhof. Fußläufig vom Bahnhof Jannowitzbrücke.
