* brains in a skull don't quite look like brains in a jar because the meninges squish it real good so the sulci are nice and tight

I was reading a Thing about Brains earlier so here's some BRAIN FACTS:

* the 10% thing is nonsense, you use 100% of your brain 100% of the time

* so is the whole left/right-brained thing - while specific functions are lateralized, higher processes like creativity or logical thinking are pretty much not

* functionally, there isn't really much of a "female" or "male" brain

* just in general, brains are very individual and for any group you have huge within-group variance
