@snowdusk_ yeah, Apple seems be be making a go out of just taking your money directly rather than trying to find sneaky ways to monetize you. Deploying things like encryption, sane browser behavior and USB ports that shut down to thwart law enforcement overreach.

I’m extracting myself from Google’s ecosystem but that doesn’t mean I’m blindly moving to iCloud et al. I’m actually replacing things like online storage with encrypted usb drives and streaming music with local MP3s.

Today is the Dutch #activist and #anarchist Joke Kaviaar arrested and send to jail. She must stay in jail for 71 days.

Joke is also active on Mastodon (and therefore the Fediverse) under the alias @Jo.

Her arrest was not a surprise, cause she lost earlier this month her last appeal. She must go to jail cause she first published alleged seditious texts, criticizing in her unique creative style the Dutch #asylum policy. The second reason was an action in a municipal council chamber against the #deportation of children and their families. So yes, she has to go to jail because of a now forbidden text and a non-violent action.

This is the side of the #Netherlands you don't hear about comrades. So please don't think this country is a free haven. It' s a neo-liberal tax haven, and don't you dare to criticize the state. Of course the Dutch national media is silent about this and that in the same week as a near government coalition conflict about child deportation.

Wine 4.0 released!

This release represents a year of development effort and over 6,000 individual changes. It contains a large number of improvements that are listed in the release notes below. The main highlights are:

* Vulkan support.
* Direct3D 12 support.
* Game controllers support.
* High-DPI support on Android.

The source is available now. Binaries are being built, and will appear soon at their download locations.

the number of times i get "i can't believe this" in response to me in general is kinda amusing. it's like. "how could i make you believe?"

you know, you can't really be an ally without putting in the work to not immediately doubt the words of others experiences. the world is.. a different place for some.
