did you write this @bea https://www.researchgate.net/publication/322530755_Analysis_and_Qualitative_Effects_of_Large_Breasts_on_Aerodynamic_Performance_and_Wake_of_a_Miss_Kobayashi's_Dragon_Maid_Character?channel=doi&linkId=5a5ef35a458515c03ee11245&showFulltext=true (thanks @Mithaldu )

@dvddpl fair enough (also good point about transparency, the 3D renderer can do translucent polygons if you sort them, sprites is 1 bit masks only

@dvddpl @revenant p.s. if you ever want to read up on All Of This GBATEK is the most amazing documentation. it's incredibly detailed and I've found only maybe one inaccuracy in it ever http://problemkaputt.de/gbatek.htm#lcdobjoverview

@dvddpl @revenant I don't believe so? Each sprite engine can render 128 sprites (or more if you change oam in hblank, how many per line depends on a few things such as size) that can be affine transformed
ideally if you have A LOT of sprites you could maybe use both systems. I know that were games that tended to run out of sprites (bangai-o sure did that a lot) though idk if they did anything beyond oam swapping to compensate

@revenant @dvddpl oh also the sprite/bg engine config can, naturally, be changed in the hblank interrupt handler but you gotta be careful about timing! I have not checked recently but as of three years or so ago exactly zero emulators existed that got this quite right!

@revenant @dvddpl my fave, probably due to extensive dealing with, is the nintendo DS, where you have:
* two different arm CPUs, that share memory
* two sprite/bg affine mapping engines that share remappable vram banks of different sizes
* each vram bank only works in certain configurations
* oh right the _line buffer 3D renderer_ and the screen capture unit also share the same banks. Sometimes instead of copying memory you just remap a bank! -

... experts believe... the days of shoppers using plastic loyalty cards and collecting supermarket reward vouchers are numbered.
"This concept of swiping a card at the till is dated. It's not what attracts us to a supermarket," says retail analyst Natalie Berg of Planet Retail.
yes, you are correct
what attracts us to a supermarket is the fact that you can't just not buy groceries
stop trying to crowbar value-add onto something that's literally unavoidable!!!

SUPPOSEDLY this is a charging cable for some device. Why does it use this plug? Because apparently that is what whoever built the thing had lying around!
