@lx +1 for gopher portals
@SinaCutie @ajroach42 I ran a website for a few years called afilmaday.com where I watched and reviewed 365 movies a year. The twist to the store was that every move got 5 stars. My job in the review was to explain how you should watch it so that you'd give it 5 stars also.
For instance, when Alien vs Predator came out my review was basically, "You need to convince yourself you're about to watch the greatest video game trailer of all time."
It was a good site
@SinaCutie @ajroach42 the newest Godzilla film gets 2 thumbs up from me and my boy. But that's against a 43% critic rating. People are at 83%, so they agree with me
@ajroach42 I watched it yesterday with my son and it was still amazing. The pacing was great, the effects solid, and acting good too. The farm scenes we're brilliant. Critics know nothing
@ajroach42 wait, TMNT isn't universally loved? It's a perfect film indeed!

@capngloval I totally understand what you mean. It's very different in that way. Quieter, certainly. But people chime in through various ways. We will see what comes!

The next 2 days, #bitreich community have its third annual conference: bitreichcon 2019.
If you are interested in it, visit gopher://bitreich.org/1/con/2019

If you don't have any access to a #gopher client (it's sad), you can still read the page here https://gopherproxy.meulie.net/bitreich.org/1/con/2019

@ajroach42 @djsundog Prius!
I opened this link earlier today and finally got around to reading it. I love pieces like this because they fill my heart with a desire for action in my own life. The amount of things I read that weigh me down and make me anxious are overwhelming. I want to do more things, tangible things, to help the world and this sort of article helps me.
