mastodon, you might be wondering if I can get even odder?
Well let’s put it like this, I’ve only shown about 10% of my self so far and we got time so:

holy shit I want to make this
There's an easy way to get just a little better at accessibility:
1) Get a text expander. In OS X and iOS you can do this natively in System Preferences > Keyboard; I'm not sure about other OSes.
2) Create the following replacements:
"i18n" -> "internationalization"
"l10n" -> "localization"
"a11y" -> "accessibility"
Now you can type your shorthand AND be read by people who aren't fluent in Lazy Jargon.
we're pros, I promise
ah two podcasts in a row where we forget to start our recordings
basically idk if you make something make a patreon and don't worry about giving out lots of rewards because this capitalism thing ain't shit
when I see people talk on the TL about starting a patreon, I usually see something along the lines of "what else can I offer thats exclusive to patreons and will entice them to pay me?"
and for me its like, if you're already making something you're good enough. I don't think every patreon should be one that offers exclusive content, just helping the creation of existing content is good enough. Signing yourself up for more work isn't always the best idea.
oh also while I'm here: if you like me and my stuff you should help support me on patreon.
I have a lot of thoughts on media but it really just boils down to: if you make shit, as the people who consume it to pay you
if you like shit, pay for it if you can
this honestly is why I think directly reader funded publications are the best way for creators to make a platform, trust is such an important thing and honestly you can't trust any publication thats venture funded and ad supported
@wxcafe oooohhhh
everyone on the tl is going to Germany nowadays hmmm
@wxcafe oooh that’s interesting! Though by cost I was mean mainting it and stuff, I already am doing some custom stuff with the podcast network Wordpress install and I’m ok with my regular blog being completely managed by someone else
I might use wordpress dot com too versus self hosted because costs hm
I'm thinking I might move my personal blog over to wordpress today or something
I want to use mars edit and my current CMS won't work with it
@HTHR I pour one out every night

Maybe don’t get angry but sometimes we gotta just say “fuck it I guess if it ain’t you it’s going to have to be me” you know
