    I still call this 19-year-old guy here “fuzzball” because when he was just a few months old that’s totally what he was. He definitely has the same heart and spirit he had then, even if his legs don’t get him on top of cabinets or let him hang off my arm anymore. He’s got a special place in my heart, and he still watches the door for when I come home every day. ❤️ #cats @cats

    At the beginning of the week it was so windy that branches fell right out of trees. The workplace owls were nowhere to be seen. All week I've been waiting for them to come back, worrying they'd been hit by flying branches. (Does that even happen to birds?)

    Finally today they showed up on the branch outside my window, leaning on each other in the sunshine. All day, just leaning quietly, being owls.

    Recent pet peeves: It's not a podcast if I can't subscribe to it with my podcast tuner - i.e. an RSS poller that downloads MP3s from enclosures.

    It's not a podcast if it's locked into a platform app. A YouTube video is not a podcast. A Twitch stream is not a podcast. Those all might be "periodic timeshiftable subcription" things but they're not podcasts
