@methyltheobromine @lain Probably not, look at those prices. I don't think peanut butter is that expensive anywhere in the US or Canada. That looks like european peanut butter prices.
-
@Moon @Economic_Hitman @feld @mrmcmayhem @roundy Then I am not surprised.
Another fun conspiracy theory I have is that very few if any of those anti theft magnetic detectors work, it's all just security guards in an office triggering them when they think you look shifty. The point is just to give them a deniable way of accusing you without you feeling like you're being accused ("it'd just the machine, they often ring for no reason").

@katka MLB there's like a bajilion games (162) per team a year, if they had to travel across the US all the time for them, they wouldn't have time for anything but flying. But yeah, NHL regular season keep most games within a geographical area, with some games outside their division, but the schedule is built to avoid too much unnecessary travel (ie: if a team is going to play a game in the northwest, they'll try to group multiple games against teams in that region, etc...)
-
@Moon @mrmcmayhem @Economic_Hitman @feld @roundy I am skeptical that drug sniffing dogs are not mostly just an excuse to give probable cause for a search on a subtle cue from the handler.
-
@Moon @Hyolobrika @mrsaturday My objection to the original is that my experience so far with the people making his claim is that they have preconceptions as to how society should be improved somewhat and have no curiosity as to what Chesterton fences they'd be knocking down in their crusade to implement these "improvements".

@Mitsu O-only with Cadbury Cream Eggs, not with Kinder Surprise
-
@Mitsu W-we don't all do this...

@Eidon @Mitsu @coolboymew Marriage means that I can sponsor her as a family member for immigration on "family reunification" grounds, but it still has to go through the immigration process, both at the federal and provincial level.

One thing I'd like to try hosting at some point, although I think it would require an archive node, is to run an instance of a block explorer (Etherscan).
It's such a useful tool for Ethereum, I'm curious what the state of self-hosting/decentralizing is for that kind of tool.

@Mitsu The Taco Bell mascot is preparing to betray his owners
-
Also, it being my first transaction in a while, it was the first one I did from my private Ethereum node.
-
Low Ethereum gas prices and low Ethereum prices meant that I could finally go yesterday evening and fetch my stranded Balancer LP rewards from when I was invested in one of
their pools, without a net loss.
Now it'd be great if the market would just pick back up.

@shmibs Depending on what's meant by "sex noises", clear communication is to the benefit of both participants, and paradoxically talking sometimes seems distracting and inappropriate, hence noises. To reach maximal utility they have to be analog in nature, not digital. And in this case, pulse width modulation would just be weird.
-
@lain @vriska @kaia But you play one on fedi?
-
@Mitsu They forgot anime
-
@Mitsu We're beating two teams tonight; the Oilers and the refs
-
@Moon @lain But in this case, it seems to mostly aimed outwards, at the western world, to justify ever increasing action.
I think a part of it is due to critical thinking fatigue from the pandemic, but people right now are really, really looking for anything they can just rally around together without having to think about it too much. I think a lot of them sort of know they're being fed propaganda right now but are just eating it willingly because it's a team-building exercise they don't see affecting them personally (as opposed to the masks, vaccines, local politics, etc...)
If this keeps going at this rate, it will at some point end with our populations basically begging our governments to join the war. People are really whipped into a frenzy right now. If this pushes us into war they'll find it affect them a lot more personally.
-
@Mitsu it was always growing sneakily. It just can't stop hiding now
-
@Mitsu I miss your food :blobsad:
