@craigmaloney if you come across https://tryptic1.bandcamp.com/album/tryptic , you can skip it. Maybe the context of their "rustic" sound will come clear once they add vocals, but right now it just sounds like a shit demo. I was able to listen to enough of it to think there's the backbone of something interesting there, but it's too thin now to be atmospheric.
@wolftune I'm not sure if you're on twitter or not, but if you are, I'd love to get your vote on as a judge, would love to get your vote on this: https://twitter.com/musicmanumit/status/982598228695711744 as a judge. Let me know if you and Hollis are running into any roadblocks!
I was bemused because I had only heard mention of Linux and Windows support, but it turns out we do support FreeBSD 10...but not 11 for some reason: https://www.perforce.com/downloads/helix-core-p4d
"Although Helix Server does not recommend any specific hardware configuration or filesystem, Linux servers are generally fastest (owing to Linux’s asynchronous directory updating), but they may have poor recovery if power is cut at the wrong time."
well, the idea would be to actually upload something other than lofi black !metal and noise to FMA. I should really spend more time with the Music Manumit curation. Perhaps once we figure out what is happening with the I can do that.
One thing that Mike seemed to be ok with was just turning it into a remix competition. That largely turns the metal category into an "industrial" category. Is that something you'd be into?
I suppose mostly as an aside...I tried to get someone from bandcamp to talk to Music Manumit. That was couple of years ago, maybe I should try again. We got further with SoundCloud, but were never able to get the dates to work out.
