I'm not sure if this qualifies as power metal. It's pretty slow for power !metal. It's kinda like if Led Zeppelin decided to do power metal: https://wackenmetalbattlecanada.bandcamp.com/track/celestial-ruin-wrath-of-the-dragon

@craigmaloney more #jazzpunk than !metal, but there are definitely elements of metal here and there. Worth a listen if in the mood for something different: https://babykillerestelle.bandcamp.com/album/awaken-necropolis

Cape Canaveral is not far. There's Sea World (which we aren't doing). Gatorland and airboat rides. We found three restaurants.

Back in the late 80s the death !metal scene was big in Florida, although it was mostly centered around Tampa.

My vote was to go to Miami away from all the commercial shit. I think my wife thinks Miami is literally just clubs and pork. No matter how much evidence I present to the contrary, she still thinks that.

"Algos is a one man melodic death project hailing from The Netherlands. With a unique twist to the genre, recognizable harmonic guitar tunes, haunting growls and epic orchestrations makes project a one of a kind experience. From blastbeats to funeral doom pacing, from acoustics to black metal screams. Algos covers as much ground as possible without sounding out of place at any moment."

I'm not really sure that's a melodic death project. just sounds like a !metal project

    Crestfallen
    Two souls became one
    A vestige of serenity
    Grasping your cross
    Reaching out
    With your final breath
    A life departed
    Frozen and still

    In this silence, I know
That you have found your peace
    The embrace of falling snow
I brush the tears from your face
    I no longer remember
When the world didn’t feel so cold
I lift my arms for the sky
    And await this coming storm

    Empyreal flames
    Of my own creation
    I will wait forever
    For my salvation
    Before I surrender
    My faith unto you
    You who has taken
    Everything from me

    Winter descends
    Like ashes from the divine
    Breathe in the fire
    Let it swallow you whole
    Close your eyes
I know I have failed you
    Child of light
    Go now, your heaven awaits

    Empyreal flames
    Of my own creation
    I will wait forever
    For my salvation

    Before I surrender
    My faith unto you
    You who has taken
    Everything

    1. Returning We Hear the Larks - Ypres | Jamendo Music - Free music downloads
      from Jamendo Music
As you may know, this is my first official full-length (Scattered Fragments doesn't count, it's just a compilation) and it's been a looong time coming. This album became a concept in February 2009, when I first stepped foot on Belgian soil and became rather obsessed with the First World War. Spending a week in Ypres, a town bursting with a history of pain and struggle, was probably the most life-changing experience of my 18 years here. Nothing has ever moved me quite so much as standing among the graves of countless heroes, men with families and lives ahead of them, who gave it all for their countries and were buried nameless. I can recall hearing nothing and feeling the most overwhelming sense of loneliness and despair. I had to hold back tears in a few graveyards, I must have looked quite the fool :P Ypres is to thank for this album. It moved to an extent that I scrapped my last project, Sins of the Watchmen, to focus on something far more meaningful and important. I hoped that with this project, I could create something that would make you think. It is for this reason that my music is rather repeatative and long. I don't want you to sit there and focus on it, I want you to space out and consider life, the universe, or maybe even the Great War. So now that that's out of the way, I want to give huge love to my Greek brother Jason Karavokiris, for designing all of the beautiful artwork for this album. Make sure you take the time to marvel at all of the pieces included in this download. And if you feel like giving him some much-deserved appreciation, head on over to www.behance.net/JasonKaravokiris and check out his incredible gallery.creditsreleased 07 September 2010 Composed, recorded and mixed by Jak Noble between February 2009 - September 2010. Artwork by Jason Karavokiris (www.behance.net/JasonKaravokiris) Inspired by the town of Ypres and the Great War. Dedicated to the memory of thousands of heroes who died for us.
