I'll level with ya. Let me know when there's a .gov attacking opponents. Then you can say "I told you so".
Biden has made his career as a centrist. Maybe you're talking something longer term (I think myopic would have been a better word choice than obtuse, but whatever).
But seriously, all the finger pointing and ridiculous rhetoric on both sides needs to stop. -

yes, in post-Weimar Germany Internet stes were "precisely how political opponents were persecuted". Just listen to yourself. Go mediate. you are going to blow a gasket. -

I know there are facebook extensions, but is there anything that blocks Trump posts? I'm tired of hearing about him, regardless from which side. -

the idea that a guy who has built a career as a centrist is a NAZI is laughable, at best. -

Wikipedia has lists? Are they NAZI?
Is the site advocating killing people? If not, then you are being ridiculous to the extreme. -

been putting off a dental appointment, but I guess life goes on. I need to make an eye appointment too. I'm gonna try to get a lot of stuff done the week of Thanksgiving when I am off work. -

Maybe in California, but I've never experienced anyone having meltdown because they disagreed with me. Then again, i don't go around telling people they should get rid of their cars and go vegan. If they can't see that it's obviously a better choice since I'm fitter than them () In conversation from nu.federati.net permalink -

yeah, 3D is definitely different than VR.
I am thinking more for meetings, but until there's an #opensource VR headset our customers are asking us to support, I can't see us being able to convince management to get those.
I was thinking, very specifically, about family gatherings.
The https://spatial.io/ terms are lame, but it's a good idea.
Last year, one of the Perforce Christmas gift options was a VR headset. I got it and sold it above MSRP due to the demand. I don't regret that decision. Idk, maybe I should look into the Samsung and Acer.
Or maybe I should just get over it and get an Occulus. The price point is ridiculous in comparison. I don't generally mind paying a premium, but if I'm going to be getting these for everyone in the family,In conversation from nu.federati.net permalink Attachments

so, I thought, well, it says up-to $4000, but well, starts at $3500: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/holoLens-2/91pnzzznzwcp/?activetab=pivot%3aoverviewtab
All of the good ones are a few hundred dollars. I just feel like I wouldn't use it enough to justify that.
I was thinking like $300.

I'm officially giving up on the provisioner. Short of doing a tcpdump, I don't see how I can do any debugging without the ability to log in.
I'm sure this will be error prone, but in theory at least I can provision machines with networking...
