@Roland Häder @Kromonos @Kromonos yep! I do despise #survailienceCapitalism and I am glad that social media platforms like Facebook didn't exist when I was a teenager.

I would hope all parents taught their kids that anything you post on the internet is forever, so always assuem every potential employer/significant Other/government in the world will see it. But I am sure that's more hard for the public school kids than for our students.

There is a lot of nuances in this article. thebarentsobserver.com/en/node… I could certainly see the Russian government asking private fisherman to spy, and my understanding of the Russian idea of liberty being so different from that in the U.S. But the idea of limiting Russian fishing vessels being a big strain on the local economy is certainly true to.

We are so many people OK with corporate spying but not with government spying?
