@jdlwerewolf imho pits are one of the places that is almost never worth shaving, unless you REALLY prefer not having it for body image reasons, because the hair is partially there to prevent the skin in that area from getting irritated and shaving usually does The Opposite Of That

3. If using almond/soy milk and adding some juice from your strawberries, mix those in a separate bowl, then stir almond/soy milk or yogurt into shortcake ingredients.
4. Pour batter into greased pan.

How to make it
Put the topping together first.
1. If using frozen strawberries, thaw them in a bowl in the fridge overnight.
2. Mix sugar and strawberries in a large bowl. Let it sit while you prepare the shortcake batter.
Mix shortcake ingredients.
1. Preheat oven to 450°F
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
2. Cut in shortening. If you don’t have a pastry cutter, mash it with a fork until chunks are gone.
