alright, gonna gas up and air the tires up maybe a little more, then head out to Vashon. Hoping for the best, but, uh, jeez, expecting disaster.

update: I've tried fittiing the rear tire several times but it always has a wobble to it no matter how much i adjust it, resulting in a very severe shake when the bike goes any speeds.

I am gonna make one last ditch effort to remove + remount the rear tire, reseating the innertube, and if that doesn't work then I guess no Vashon this weekend

welp,rear tire has some severe wobble going on, so much so i dont trust it beyond 15 mph. im gonna try remounting it and hope that solves it, if not im out of a moped trip :/

topped off my bike with new atf and fixed sone loose bolts, as well as a new air filter. now i have to put the pipe back on and air up the rear tire. then i should, in theory, be ready to ride.

good news is the tire can hold air, I've been trying to put the rest of my bike back together, and have the rear wheel on and the old, bend, bookrack.

I have to change the ATF and clean the carb, then pack and leave. I have spent most of this evening wrenching on it and sniffling due to fucking allergies. I'm tired and frustrated

I got a new tire on my bike quicker than I expected. I just have to see if it'll still hold air. fingers crossed

if not I don't have a backup tube or patch kit so this weekend is about to get hella depressing

i dunno if i wanna camp out this weekend. i do, but, you know, anxiety. i have a bunch of exuses ready to go too.

i get this way any time i go anywhere or do anything. its awful

So I am prepping for a weekend camp trip to Vashon island, with my moped group. I am doing all the maintenance for my bike...tomorrow :/

@fillertrack for a period I was experimenting with slowing down songs and pitching them up so it sounded like they were at half speed, and Mambo number 5 sounds INCREDIBLY lewd at a slower speed
