now that the PCH is open again, I might drive down to LA along 101 again. That was incredible the last time i did it, maybe this time i'll do it in a Miata or w/e.

also if you go, or if I were to do it again: springtime is the best time. it's warmer but there's less traffic

Instead of trying to fix my puch, i found a liberated ofo bike and rode that around.

the gearing on those really sucks, and the brakes were half working, but it was free so, can't really complain

i left the bike exactly where I found it. hopefully it can live long enough to give more free rides

I made the gross miscalculation of trying to play a story mission in The Crew.

You have to ram a car you're chasing, this car uses the rubber band ai, your car is hard to control due to the RPG system tied to the driving model, as a result the mission is impossible to finish because the opponent is never close enough to hit, much less multiple times.

the only way to win is to memorize their path and hit them head on, maybe.

whenever you complain, they tell you to vote. the voting districts are all knarled and broken. 3 million more people voted for Hillary than trump, but he still won. somehow this is fair and questioning this system is a political non starter

in any other country, people would be in the streets, but the moment you do here people tsk tsk about how protesting hurts the cause. they care more about broken shop windows than lives

i think im gonna start actually trying to move to another country. the opposition party here is obsessed with 'civility' while everything is going on. i dont think we have it in us to save ourselves. i need to live somewhere with an actual social safety net, where that idea is not politically toxic.

I think I had to see the spot again to get it out of my head. I kept thinking I shouldn't have survived that when actually I was just being a dumbass and ate shit

in my head I feel like I flew 15 feet high but it was actually maybe 3, and 10 ft long. i didn't spot the landing. I remember seeing my shadow and bike separate for a second while I though "i never jumped this bike before, shit"

tonight instead of doing the ride I decided to revisit the spot where I had a real bad wreck back in 2016. I hadn't been back since and in my mind it was really bad and I should have gotten real fucked up

It was a narrow alleyway with a very steep grade, so what happened is I popped over it at about 25-30 and hit a bunch of air, and then hit the flat part of the alley instead of the ramp. my bike absorbed most of the hit and then I tumbled from there.

so, bad, but not the worst
