I'm going to a concert tonight at the tractor tavern. this is the band wot played at our moped rally. they're real good.

@RobF Alternativly, sometimes a review will make me come around on a game. One recent example is The Crew, which I bought and subsequently didn't like at all. Then recently I saw a Ross's Game Dungeon video on The Crew and it made me want to play again, and I came away with a higher opinion on the game.

@RobF these days we have Lets Plays and streams to do promotional/review work. I can totally see a youtuber saying something like in that HL2 review. Text, now, is used mainly for more thoughtful analysis.

I think much like music is tied to emotion and really based on taste, having a numbered score on a music review is pretty useless. I'm looking for the same things from games these days.

@vogon i feel like once youtube figures out you're a guy it keeps shoveling joe rogan videos at you until you press "not interested" about 50 times, or listen to one Jazz Fusion album

@joshmillard I always figured you for a duck because "Millard" sounded like "Mallard" in my head until we met and you informed me the pronunciation was french

@karobit no it's actually a game i've wanted to make or play for a very long time

im not sure how much time i have left in the game industry, very few things excite me about it

Giant Rom: Giant Bomb's game jam, is coming up. gonna do a remake of a terrible game that Drew played a few years back, hopefully it'll be better than that...maybe

I am 100% out of socks and my housemate got to the laundry room first, but keeps falling asleep when the washer/dryer finishes, so i keep texing them to wake them up so i can finish my socks so I have something to wear tomorrow.

i forget not everyone I work with has been laid off multiple times and does not have a hatred for capital

@seatsafetyswitch i think it's something with the ignition, like a bad condenser. my points were pretty pitted so i tried sandpapering them, but I think in the process disconnected something, because now it isn't getting any spark.

@SteveEmCee I drove in my honda fit, from Seattle to LA. took me 5 very long days but it was very enjoyable. I want to do it again.
