@vfrmedia @drwho There should be a dispatcher on 112 who will in turn send whoever needs to be sent, or you can call directly police/fire/ambulance, but maybe that goes to the same callcenter now too. I haven't really needed it, thankfully.

@drwho @vfrmedia I have some issues with everything being bent over to serve emergency services, like streets being made extra-wide just in case an ambulance needs to pass bit faster and stuff, which I think is more harmful in the long run, but this is something just insane.

@stsp T420. I don't know, there is something not great with it entirely, it's second hand and wasn't in such a superb state as the seller claimed it to be. I'd replace the drive because I don't need it at all, but something needs to be there to hold the machine together and extra batteries instead of the optical drive are needlessly expensive.

Get a used ThinkPad they said. Now that thing is ejecting the optical drive tray whenever the train shakes a bit more.

But like, why do eastern Europeans have to go so fast from usually winnable fight about "the work doesn't have diversity" (no, i just wanted to say something else with it) to a ridiculous "it doesn't make sense for any local work to ever have any" (and here's an essay why).

* you're probably targeting a global audience for whom this is a very valid concern, you can't say lala can't hear you
* racial minorities and their concerns are real even within EE too, you're shitting on actual people here
* whenever you argue with historic "facts", they usually turn out to be bullshit or at best one-sided interpretation ignoring opposing views and historic consensus
