@KittyUnpretty @darius Also check out indieweb readers, some notes and efforts there to recover and improve a social reading experience. https://indieweb.org/reader

You don't need Netflix when you have the Fediverse - unlimited drama on demand. New shows every week.

I wrote a blog post about why you might want to bridge the Indieweb and the Fediverse:

@scottishwobbly Mass arrest has publicly been their MO right from the beginning last year though. Debateable tactics but doesn't seem like a conspiracy. Anyone actively taking part with XR and not knowing about the possibility of arrest seems pretty badly informed. There's a whole section on it on their website.

https://neweconomics.org/2019/02/weekly-economics-podcast-whats-the-deal-with-the-green-new-deal.US - Unions been under decades of assault. Risk averse as a result. No unions supported AOC. Some unions supported GND. Bit of tension between radical environmentalists and unions.
UK - Energy unions see it as taking jobs. Bit of defensiveness. Wary of industrial transition. GND proponents need to speak more to how people's lives will be affected. In conversation from social.coop permalink -

If you're in the UK, then Cex (https://uk.webuy.com/) is a good place to go for second-hand electronics (phones, laptops, consoles, etc) and entertainment stuff (DVDs, games).
And British Heart Foundation charity shops are pretty good for second-hand electricals (https://www.bhf.org.uk/shop/furniture-and-electrical-shops).

What's the best federated/distributed way to get a regular feed of solarpunk pictures (like the kind of things on https://solarpunk-aesthetic.tumblr.com/)?
That stuff cheers me up no end and a regular dose of them in to some kind of inbox would be grand. Either fediverse or indieweb.
I searched pixelfed.social and nothing came up.

"Capitalism made your-"No. LABOUR made it. LABOUR made my phone, my laptop, the internet, this website, my clothing, my house, all social media, and everything else. LABOUR makes things, Capitalism doesnβt because economic systems donβt βmakeβ anything, they just determine who gets paid for making things.

Periodic reminder that the sunbeam.city wiki (https://wiki.sunbeam.city/) is a fantastic resource.
Just reading through the politics page (https://wiki.sunbeam.city/doku.php?id=politics), great place to start if you're interested in social ecology and communalism and where they fit in the context of other tendencies.
