#MastodonSocial - heads up!

Mastodon.social's posts are not federating out in a timely fashion because another instance is lagging, which is causing mastodon.social's delivery jobs to pile up. Right now there are about 300,000 delivery jobs waiting to go out, but they're reliant on that one instance not taking 10 seconds to respond to every request.

There's not a whole lot m.s can do except wait it out; hopefully this will be resolved soon.

It's going to be rainy and cold on April 25.

A year ago now, I built the toot-lab as a place to evaluate and experiment with this new software.

It's been a amazing year for experiencing the growth of these intertwined communities of the fediverse, and the toot-lab has given me a comfortable vantage point from which to listen and speak.

But change is inevitable.

I start a lot of projects. Some never see the light of day. Some never live long enough to see a second day.

This one brewed for a while, wavering out of existence and back in, and it's now solid enough to acknowledge.
