my bet for why did white (women) vote for Moore? in part because he would deliver the anti abortion vote, like their pastors told them is righteous.

I'd relax with some painting, but I need it all to dry before I move. Kind of hard to predict with oils. (and acrylics just don't *have* the 'ting').

you simply can't make me sad about that. we need to gut the cost of having a stable living situation in this country. people's living situations shouldn't be investment situations. tax breaks need to accrue to the poor, not the rich.

@staticsafe I would definitely characterize October Daye as a female-led, female-written analog to Dresden Files. Great characterizations, reasonably good setups for the inevitable "hunt down the thing and have a climatic fight" plot the genre is built on.

McGuire is incredibly progressive as an author, some recent work in her "Home For Girls" series has homosexual, trans and ace characters. Butcher is much more straight sword and sorcery.

Seanan McGuire is my other major goto with her October Daye series but imo Dresden Files is a stronger world, albeit mildly worse characterizations.
