@kaniini@srn imo that's where you went wrong -- the assumption on fail to follow anyway. you should've, like, just failed the follow on your end and sent an undo or something. fail safe instead of open
@amphetamine@cocoron or maybe we can break the word down and explain from there.
solar: we have this bonanza of free energy from the sun, and it's enough to provide a good quality of life for everyone if we manage and distribute it well enough. but it's not an infinite supply to fuel exponential growth for its own sake.
punk: the system we have now is not nearly as equitable or fair as it should be. some people get rich, more get oppressed and dumped on. so we fight to end this and do better
solarpunk is what happens when we take all of this technology we have, and decide that maybe instead of chasing infinite exponential growth that's impossible we'll try to build a world with it that can coexist with nature and provide for everyone so they can do more of what they really want.
i'm 0/1 on expressing things well so take it with a grain of salt. i maybe missed some things and overemphasized others
new york is one of the rare places i can do a transaction entirely without words. i put what i want on the counter, they charge me, i put payment up, they take it. no bullshit.
It's that thing where, like, breaking the window of a Starbucks is a crime against humanity, but dropping bombs on a city is a complex, nuanced issue that causes a lot of internal emotional conflict in people who are at no risk of being bombed themselves.
I'm gay and a dragon I guess I also write malware for fun sometimes Follow for nonsensical toots about things like why my carpet makes my feet numb if I walk on it too much
