@samtoland I would encourage social.coop members to check this out, since it affects us all.

Need a good dropbox alternative. Maybe beakerbrowser is the way to go... framadrop looks great, but there is a time limit for storage and I have not tested the sync across devices, which is crucial. (Framasoft is an amazing collection of free tools, btw.) #nodpropbox #beakerbrowser #framadrop #framasoft

Tried Jitsi for a video meeting on platform coops today. Very easy to use, free, no registration, good quality. Chat, etherpad, screen-sharing... #jitsi #noskype

I would like to use alternative tools as much as possible -- operating system, software, ISP, cloud, SNS, email, hosting... But in reality many of us continue to use the dominant tools and platforms. No need to be dogmatic or puritanical, but how can we encourage and support the development of the new ecosystems we want? Do we need to form cooperative users/makers groups of some kind? #intercooperation #coopecosystem

What if we had a diagram/list/video showing: 1. Platform Coops that are fully operational, categorized by function; 2. Platform Coops that are in development but usable; 3. Platform Coops that are not yet usable?

It would be great to have a hashtag cloud. Maybe in the left column where I have lots of empty space?
